Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara

Hey guys!

I know this product has been out for a while but I got it free in boots when I spent over £10 on Rimmel items so thought why not make a blog post about it.

The packaging is very bright and I like the colour. It's also lightweight and not bulky in your hand.

The brush looks very nice and big which screams VOLUME and the spacing between the bristles screams SEPARATION.

But what were the actual results of this mascara?

Disappointing to say the least.
I'll give it a 4/10

What was the formula like? Gloopy but not too thick which I actually liked.
Did it lengthen my lashes? A little bit.
Did it separate my lashes? Hardly.
Did it curl my stubborn lashes? A little bit.
Does it have a long staying power? Hell no. It seemed like it never properly dried. Any contact with water from my eyes and it smudged and resulted in me getting messy fingers trying to sort it out.

So all in all I think this product was definitely not worth buying and I'm glad I got it for free.

My #1 go to drugstore macara is Maybelline's Falsies Volum' Express, what's yours?
If you would like me to review it on my blog or any other mascara leave a comment below :)

Thank you!

Hey guys,

I know I have been extremely "slap dash" with my blog and I apologise for the lack of content but I haven't been inspired at all lately.
I'm at a stage in my life where I'm trying out 50  million different things I might want to do so I end up sticking at - nothing :/

I am very amazed at how many page views I have had so far as I know I haven't put my heart and soul into this as much as I should have been.

BUT

I am coming back so watch out

Thank you, you and YOU for taking the time out to look at my page and I hope I have helped in a few little ways :)

I am aiming to get some new posts up ASAP so bare with me.

Gym

Hey guys!

I've decided to start doing a gym vlog which will help me track my progess and help you to see what kind of workouts you can try.

I haven't been that dedicated to the gym lately so as today was my first day back I was trying to take it easy (but not too easy) so I looked online for some treadmill workouts as I'm focusing on cardio to burn some body fat. A 40 min workout is more than decent enough to start the weight loss journey and the bare minimum I think I can get away with to get results.
I used to do 15 or 20min jogging sessions but I find this interval training not as hard on my body but still efficient enough cause trust me, I felt it!! The walking intervals stopped me from feeling like I'm dying. Also I researched and came to the conclusion that 20mins is not gonna cut it if I wanna get a nice flat stomach.

Interval Training

Here is the workout for "beginners" who don't run very often, if ever and "seasoned trainers" aka people that run on a treadmill regularly, but want to take it easy with this workout.

Source: www.fitsugar.com

If you don't understand how the chart works i'll explain.

On the left is the time you will be doing each bit of running so for the first 5 mins (0:00 to 5:00) you will do running at a speed of 3.0 (which you will see on the treadmill that you can control) and Incline 1 (which will also be on the treadmill and is how much the treadmill is at an angle and how hard it will work your legs) and so on. Pretty simple. But a workout that you can feel most definately.

I would stick to the incline that is set (1) if you haven't really ran before because you can injure your knees if you put too much stress on them straight away.

Consult a doctor if you have any worries before starting this.

Keep checking back for my next vlog!

Mini Haul

A few weeks back I recieved some goodies in the post that I purchased from www.feelunique.com which has FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE so what's not to love?
I thought I'd share them with you.

I also added in a lush product that I'm liking at the moment that I got in a gift set.

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub - £5.25

Available in Lush stores or online

 This stuff is AMAZING.
It makes my lips feel very very soft after using but if I have a stubborn dry part it wont completely soften the area unless I use it a few times (which is still good). At £5.25 it's quite pricey but it lasts me a long time and is preservative free which is important. If you take a look at the ingredients it is full of natural skin loving ingredients that nourish your lips. This comes in two other flavours Bubblegum and Mint Julips, which is a mint chocolate flavour. I've only tried this one and Bubblegum and I prefer bubblegum as it's yummy. Forgot to mention you are meant to lick the sugar off your lips afterwards!

Emu Oil Moisturising Eye Cream - £8.05

www.feelunique.com

I got this for £7 on feel unique in their sale period. I really like this eye cream because it helps dark circles slightly brightening up the eye area and leaves them hydrated. I also like the ingredients as the main ones are natural. I recommend you buy if you suffer from tired looking eyes most of the time like me.

Xen-Tan Dark Trio Set

www.feelunique.com

I don't ever use any tanning products but as I'm not enjoying how pale I am looking I have decided to take the plunge and buy some!
In this gift set you get a body scrub, dark tanning lotion which is 236ml/8 Fl Oz and a tanning mitt.
I haven't used it yet as I'm still trying to pysche myself up and not be scared of any horrific "you've been tangoed" moments.
BUT!
It does claim to be a streak-free formula so that is extremely encouraging.
It contains jojoba and nut oils so the formula won't dry out your skin but I'll soon see.
I recommend you get this ASAP if you wan't to try these products as they are on offer still and normally quite expensive.

Here are the sets on feelunique
(click on the photo to take you to the website)
My one is the £28.95 set worth £43.95!!!

Losing weight the easier way!

Hey guysss

Sorry it's been a while I've had writers block and been extremely lazy with my blog.
It's a new year though and I'm looking to get this going properly with the help of you lovely readers.
Happy new year by the way and happy reading!

I was just watching Horizon - The truth about exercise, and I saw something that related to me greatly.

Hardly moving in a day and spending less than an hour in the gym thinking I'm going to get my great looking body ASAP. Sounds so great in my head..

But it isn't. Your body slows down from not moving very often and makes losing weight a lot harder.

On this program a doctor said that we should all be moving constantly. Every hour should involve some sort of movement otherwise our bodies go into "idle mode". The guy testing the theory out had 500 extra calories being burned in a day just by making sure he doesn't have those sitting down periods and keeping moving. 500!

It's not hard but it's not necessarily easy. All in all it's another way to get our bodies the way we want it and requires no sweating really unless you do some mini exercises in-between.

No excuses! And if you are struggling finding something to do then here are some ideas.

- Clean, wash dishes, hoover..
Hoovering as you should know can make you break into a proper sweat which is good!! Just make sure you switch arms so they both get a workout.

- Do some clothes washing (even though you are only moving the clothes you are still moving!)

- Ironing (Switch arms)

- Rearrange your place/room

- Go for a walk or walk somewhere you would usually take a bus to. Work, friends, shopping! etc. (as long as it's not too far)

- Randomly do some on the spot cardio (Starjumps/Jumping jacks, Knee-Ups, Jogging on the spot)
This takes it out of you believe me.

Another good idea is if you tend to watch a lot of TV then everytime an Ad break comes on do some sort of exercise. May not seem like much but it adds up!

I'm gonna do it and you should too x
