Cleansing, Toning & Moisturising

Cleansing and Toning is an important part of your skincare routine. You may have heard of it or you may do it occassionally. Ideally you should be doing this morning and night, not once a day or week.
If you don't do it at all then maybe you would like to start off with what I use and tailor the moisturiser/s to your skin type :)
In the long run it will help your skin stay glowing, pores clean and face free from blemishes, also helping to keep your skin supple helping to reduce the aging process.
The products I use are
Simple kind to skin purifying cleansing lotion
- £2
This product is quite rich but don't worry too much cause it gets wiped right back off again.
I get my double sided cotton pad and use the bumpy side and squirt about a 20p sized amount of product on to it, dabbing the product on my forehead, nose, each cheek and neck. If I haven't got enough then I use a bit more.
Then I use upwards strokes from my neck cleaning the whole area and move up to my chin and around my mouth area.
I then move on to my cheeks and use upward movements and go over my eyes, then usebackwards "C" shapes to get underneath my eyes.
Lastly I do my nose (always using upward strokes!) and then go on to my forehead where I do small upward strokes and then go around my hairline to finish.

- If I have a full face of make-up on I may do this process twice or just focusing on one area like my eyes the second time if there is a lot of Mascara. It doesn't irritate my eyes. Just make sure you don't use too much.

(I wipe it upwards because it encourages the dirt to come out of the pores)
Simple kind to skin soothing toner - £2

- This is the only product that I think is effective to get the simple cleanser off so I wouldn't purchase one without the other otherwise you could cause yourself a breakout if any of the cleanser residue is left on your skin.

I use a the flat side of the cotton pad and squeeze enough to cover the majority of the middle of it. I then use the same technique for applying the cleanser to clean it off. Don't rub too hard.

And I finish off with either of these products. Which one I use depends on if I'm going to be exposed to the outdoors or not.

Simple Oil Balancing Moisturiser - £3-£4

This moisturiser is really good if you have combination/oily skin like me. If you have dry skin I suggest you stay away because it dries extremely quickly and will leave you dry around places like your nose etc.
I apply a 20p sized amount to my face so I get a bit extra than I need so I feel like I have covered my face and neck properly.
My face doesn't get oily till very later on in the day when I'm wearing this so it definitely mattes out the skin. It has ingredients in it to fight shine and blemishes. I haven't really noticed any differences blemish wise.

Sk:n Repair & Protect SPF 30
£10 with £5 off offer from Boots website when I purchased
I think this is more of a body suncream because it feels quite heavy on but I'm using it on my face at the moment because the packaging says it helps to protect your skin from free radicals and UVA/UVB rays which age the skin.
I apply all over my face, front and back of neck and ears. If I'm exposing my arms then I'll use it on them too. I'm using all of this product up before I invest in the £18 sk:n facial moisturiser.

Conclusion
All in all I like using Simple products because they are for all skin types and are suitable for sensitive skin. My skin is so awkward when it comes to any perfumes or greasy ingredients and will quickly let me know if the product doesn't agree. I've never had a bad breakout because of them.

Sk:n is working for me so far apart from the ocassional spot that appears but I think that's down to the heaviness and I will see once I purchase the face cream if that works any better

Just to let you know I got all of these pictures off google due to my camera not being charged and I wanted to get a post out there so excuse the not so personal pics.
